A very common practice (and a symbolic tradition) is the one where the Quinceañera changes from flats to heels during her ceremony that symbolizes the transition from a girl to a young woman. Many times, in my experience, the young lady prefers to dance in her flats and will switch back into her flats before commencing her waltz with her court of honor. Whether you stay in your heels or switch back to your flats, be sure that whatever shoes you choose you are able to dance in comfortably. And if you find that the shoes are too big or too tight, break them in before the day of the event!
